Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La table by Louis Marcoussis was sold in the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,565.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marcoussis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 480,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La table von Louis Marcoussis wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.565,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Marcoussis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 480.750,00.
