Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterfly by Lothar Hempel was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2011. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,260.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lothar Hempel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casanova, which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterfly von Lothar Hempel kam im September 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.260,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lothar Hempel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casanova beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.295,24) versteigert wurde.
