The work C-Ration by Lorna Simpson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. It achieved a price of USD 9,525.00 (€ 9,013.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorna Simpson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day For Night in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 375,000.00 (€ 321,336.76).

Die Arbeit C-Ration von Lorna Simpson kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 9.013,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorna Simpson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day For Night im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 375.000,00 (€ 321.336,76).
