Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna and Child with Angels (Bartsch 2; Bohlin 3) by Ludovico Carracci was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2010. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,087.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludovico Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmacis And Hermaphroditus in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,400,000.00 (€ 10,832,732.69).

Die Arbeit Madonna and Child with Angels (Bartsch 2; Bohlin 3) von Ludovico Carracci kam im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.087,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludovico Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salmacis And Hermaphroditus im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.400.000,00 (€ 10.832.732,69).
