In November 2021 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work Metro Bridge by Liu Dahong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,705.46), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Dahong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Metro Bridge von Liu Dahong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.705,46) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
