Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Shanghai Bund by Liu Dahong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 80,318.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Dahong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Meeting Hall, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Shanghai Bund von Liu Dahong wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 80.318,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Meeting Hall beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21) versteigert wurde.
