This artwork by Liu Dahong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work The Mid-Autumn Festival sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 71,108.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Dahong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Meeting Hall, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Dahong erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit The Mid-Autumn Festival für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 71.108,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Meeting Hall beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21) versteigert wurde.
