Sold at the lower estimate price
The work The Classroom by Liu Dahong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,524.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Dahong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The Classroom von Liu Dahong wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.524,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
