In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Golden Rules and Jade Precepts by Liu Dahong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,460.69), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Dahong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Golden Rules and Jade Precepts von Liu Dahong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.460,69) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Dahong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
