Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Cypress trees before a farm by Leonard Campbell Taylor for GBP 293.75 (€ 463.60). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonard Campbell Taylor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 27,485.00 (€ 39,537.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cypress trees before a farm von Leonard Campbell Taylor für GBP 293,75 (€ 463,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonard Campbell Taylor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sisters im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.485,00 (€ 39.537,02).
