Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Laxman Shrestha was sold in the The India Sale auction at Christies in Mumbai in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of INR 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of INR 1,125,000.00 (€ 15,643.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Laxman Shrestha have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2006 the work without title was auctioned for USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laxman Shrestha wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion The India Sale bei Christies in Mumbai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von INR 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von INR 1.125.000,00 (€ 15.643,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Laxman Shrestha konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2006 die Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48) versteigert.
