This artwork by Laxman Shrestha achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2018. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,276.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laxman Shrestha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Laxman Shrestha erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.276,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Laxman Shrestha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48) versteigert wurde.
