Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (No. X) by Laxman Shrestha was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 6,946.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laxman Shrestha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (No. X) von Laxman Shrestha wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 6.946,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laxman Shrestha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48).
