Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Laxman Shrestha. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,563.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Laxman Shrestha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laxman Shrestha zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.563,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laxman Shrestha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48).
