Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Laxman Shrestha was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,500.00 (€ 3,546.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Laxman Shrestha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,656.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laxman Shrestha kam im September 2006 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.500,00 (€ 3.546,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laxman Shrestha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 29.656,48).
