Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2017 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Maquette for Allies by Lawrence Holofcener. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,058.26). Admittedly, works by Lawrence Holofcener have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allies in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 559,500.00 (€ 616,939.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maquette for Allies von Lawrence Holofcener zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.058,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lawrence Holofcener auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allies im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 559.500,00 (€ 616.939,71).
