Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Imagine by Lawrence Holofcener was sold in the Made In Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2014. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,430.79), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawrence Holofcener achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allies in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 559,500.00 (€ 616,939.71).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Imagine von Lawrence Holofcener wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Made In Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.430,79) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Holofcener erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allies im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 559.500,00 (€ 616.939,71).
