Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Maquette for Allies by Lawrence Holofcener was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, London auction at Christies in London in June 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,874.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawrence Holofcener achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allies in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 559,500.00 (€ 616,939.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Maquette for Allies von Lawrence Holofcener wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.874,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Holofcener erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allies im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 559.500,00 (€ 616.939,71).
