Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Phillips in Bidding Closes held the auction Unbound: Online Auction, which included the work Link Blue by Larry Zox. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,579.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Larry Zox have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quaminis in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,033.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in Bidding Closes die Auktion Unbound: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Link Blue von Larry Zox zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.579,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Zox auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quaminis im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.033,90).
