Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Seven works; (i) #3 (Mom in the lounge chair); (ii) #25 (Olive on plate); (iii) #27 (Dad hugging kids); (iv) (Larry's brother with a bandage on his head); (v) Dad in the baby pool; (vi) #20 (back to back teenagers); (vii) (two men in a waterfall) fro by Larry Sultan for USD 1,188.00 (€ 1,022.20). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Sultan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48).
