Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Grisebach held the auction Sommer 2021 - Ausgewählte Werke, which included the work Antioch Creek, aus der Serie „Homeland“, 2006–2009. by Larry Sultan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Larry Sultan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2016 the work My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home was auctioned for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Grisebach die Auktion Sommer 2021 - Ausgewählte Werke durch, in der auch die Arbeit Antioch Creek, aus der Serie „Homeland“, 2006–2009. von Larry Sultan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 16.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Larry Sultan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2016 die Arbeit My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48) versteigert.
