This artwork by Larry Sultan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. In the The Gift of Photographs auction, the work My Parents in Bed, Los Angeles sold for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,069.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Larry Sultan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Sultan erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Gift of Photographs wurde die Arbeit My Parents in Bed, Los Angeles für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.069,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Sultan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48).
