Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (My Mom Posing For Me, Palm Springs) (from 'Pictures From Home') by Larry Sultan was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. The price achieved of USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,099.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Larry Sultan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (My Mom Posing For Me, Palm Springs) (from 'Pictures From Home') von Larry Sultan wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.099,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Larry Sultan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48) versteigert wurde.
