Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Larry Sultan could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Untitled (from 'Swimmers') changed hands for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,453.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,928.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Sultan konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (from 'Swimmers') für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.453,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Sultan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Mother Posing for Me from Pictures of Home im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.928,48).
