In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included this untitled work by Larry Poons. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,920.00 (€ 44,605.53), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Poons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jessica's Hartford in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,043,651.87).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen

Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Larry Poons zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 44.605,53) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Poons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jessica's Hartford im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.043.651,87).
