This artwork by Kristy Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September last year. In the New Now auction, the work The Bathtub I've Always Wanted No. 15 sold for USD 41,580.00 (€ 42,502.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kristy Chan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Weather Going Bananas sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,139.95).
