Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Tristan and his video art collection by Kristy Chan for GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,405.19). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kristy Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weather Going Bananas in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,139.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tristan and his video art collection von Kristy Chan für GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.405,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kristy Chan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weather Going Bananas im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.139,95).
