Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amphora Potheads by Kristy Chan was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,762.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kristy Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weather Going Bananas in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,139.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Amphora Potheads von Kristy Chan wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips in 17 - versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.762,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kristy Chan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weather Going Bananas im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.139,95).
