Yolk and Bird incised with initials, Cat stamped with initials, all dated and numbered 39/150 on the underside, side and interior respectively, all published by A/D Editions, New York.

The work Yolk; Bird; and Cat (W. 91 & 111) by Kiki Smith was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 4,445.00 (€ 4,026.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kiki Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 284,800.00 (€ 241,560.64).

Die Arbeit Yolk; Bird; and Cat (W. 91 & 111) von Kiki Smith wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.445,00 (€ 4.026,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kiki Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.800,00 (€ 241.560,64).
