Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Kenzo Okada was sold in the First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,903.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenzo Okada achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homage in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,112.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kenzo Okada wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.903,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenzo Okada erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homage im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.112,25).
