Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Orange Circle by Kenzo Okada was worth HKD 567,000.00 (€ 62,799.86) to a buyer in October 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 160,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kenzo Okada; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Homage sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,112.25).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Orange Circle von Kenzo Okada war einem Käufer im Oktober 2020 HKD 567.000,00 (€ 62.799,86) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 160.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kenzo Okada; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Homage im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.112,25).
