This artwork by Keith Haring achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Acrobats sold for USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Keith Haring erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Acrobats für USD 360.000,00 (€ 267.598,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
