Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suprematist Composition by Kazimir Malevich was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000,000.00 – 80,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 60,002,500.00 (€ 47,268,394.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Kazimir Malevich have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2018 the work Suprematist Composition was auctioned for USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13).

Die Arbeit Suprematist Composition von Kazimir Malevich kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000.000,00 – 80.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 60.002.500,00 (€ 47.268.394,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
