Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day, which included the work Sleepwalker by Karin Davie. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,625.00 (€ 28,258.90). Other works by Karin Davie have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,775.38) in September 2010 for the work Psyche.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleepwalker von Karin Davie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.625,00 (€ 28.258,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Karin Davie haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 54.775,38) im September 2010 für die Arbeit Psyche beobachtet.
