This artwork by Kaari Upson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2019. In the First Open | Online auction, the work Untitled (Without You) sold for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,123.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kaari Upson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horizon in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,882.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kaari Upson erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Online wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Without You) für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.123,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kaari Upson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horizon im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.882,08).
