Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Kaari Upson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,380.00 (€ 16,743.33). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kaari Upson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horizon, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,882.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kaari Upson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.380,00 (€ 16.743,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kaari Upson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horizon beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.882,08) versteigert wurde.
