Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Charcoal Tablet 13 (Elbows and Knees) by Kaari Upson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,066.60), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kaari Upson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horizon in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,882.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Charcoal Tablet 13 (Elbows and Knees) von Kaari Upson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.066,60) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kaari Upson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horizon im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.882,08).
