This artwork by Julia Jacquette achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2009. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Women: Worried, Sad (Self-portrait with Mother) sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,043.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Julia Jacquette; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Men's Hands (Handshake) sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Julia Jacquette erzielte im Mai 2009 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Women: Worried, Sad (Self-portrait with Mother) für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.043,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Julia Jacquette; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Men's Hands (Handshake) im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
