Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature Morte À La Cafetière by Juan Gris was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The price achieved of USD 293,000.00 (€ 235,568.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
