Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Papitu by Juan Gris was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 25,500.00 (€ 23,934.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Papitu von Juan Gris kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 25.500,00 (€ 23.934,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
