A top price for Juan Gris
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller: 19th and 20th Century Art, Evening Sale, which included the work La table de musicien by Juan Gris. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55), 27% above the upper estimate. With this result, La table de musicien is even the most expensive work of art by Juan Gris that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller: 19th and 20th Century Art, Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La table de musicien von Juan Gris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist La table de musicien sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Juan Gris, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
