Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Arlequin by Juan Gris. The price achieved of USD 604,800.00 (€ 585,876.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arlequin von Juan Gris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 585.876,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
