In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Les figues by Juan Gris. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 225,000.00 (€ 260,775.51), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les figues von Juan Gris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 260.775,51) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
