Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Fourth Avenue (Wuerth 189) by Joseph Pennell for USD 480.00 (€ 402.52). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Joseph Pennell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York from Brooklyn; and The City in 1915 (Wuerth 671; and 679) in February 2002 with an auction result of USD 2,232.50 (€ 2,578.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
