This artwork by José Guerrero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2003. In the THE DOROTHY C. MILLER COLLECTION auction, the work without title sold for USD 1,135.25 (€ 946.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Guerrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Comienzo, 1982 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 228,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von José Guerrero erzielte im November 2003 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE DOROTHY C. MILLER COLLECTION wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.135,25 (€ 946,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.250,00.
