Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A perfect spot for a siesta by Henri-Jozef Pauwels for GBP 264.00 (€ 386.53). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Jozef Pauwels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène d'intérieur au jardin in March last year with an auction result of USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,930.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A perfect spot for a siesta von Henri-Jozef Pauwels für GBP 264,00 (€ 386,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri-Jozef Pauwels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène d'intérieur au jardin im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.562,50 (€ 14.930,59).
