In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Tea by the river by Henri-Jozef Pauwels. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 660.00 (€ 981.46), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Jozef Pauwels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène d'intérieur au jardin in March last year with an auction result of USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,930.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tea by the river von Henri-Jozef Pauwels zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 981,46) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri-Jozef Pauwels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène d'intérieur au jardin im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.562,50 (€ 14.930,59).
