Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henri-Jozef Pauwels could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures auction, the work Al Fresco; An Afternoon Nap changed hands for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,336.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Jozef Pauwels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène d'intérieur au jardin in March last year with an auction result of USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,930.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri-Jozef Pauwels konnte im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures wechselte die Arbeit Al Fresco; An Afternoon Nap für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.336,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri-Jozef Pauwels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène d'intérieur au jardin im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.562,50 (€ 14.930,59).
