Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La habitación by Jordi Ribes was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 73,234.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jordi Ribes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49).

Die Arbeit La habitación von Jordi Ribes kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 73.234,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jordi Ribes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 167.577,49) versteigert wurde.
