Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Guest Bath by Jordi Ribes was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction at Phillips in New York in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,480.00 (€ 27,658.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jordi Ribes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Guest Bath von Jordi Ribes wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.480,00 (€ 27.658,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jordi Ribes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 167.577,49).
